Obsessed with Cat Power’s Latest Album, ‘Sun’

Somewhere between my reading.am catchup and my morning getting-ready-dance routine I stumbled into Cat Power’s latest album, Sun. Whenever Cat Power releases something I stand at attention. That’s why I was surprised and delighted by her departure from her usual downcast sound.

Sun is delightfully upbeat with all the beautiful appeal we’ve heard from her so long. If you’ve got a minute (or 49 minutes and 20 seconds because this isn’t an album you’ll want to leave), check it out.

The best link I can find at the moment is NPR’s album stream, but I’ll add a few of my tracks as they become available for embedding.
